Weekly Photo Challenge: Angular (Sagrada Familia)

Sagrada Familia, Barcelona

The Sagrada Familia has been in construction since 1882 (more than a hundred years!), but it has yet to be completed. Widely regarded as the epitome (or at least, the most well-known) of Gaudi’s work, I was in awe of the architectural masterpiece when I visited Barcelona.

From whichever angle you look from, there is always a little surprise hiding somewhere, waiting for you to spot it. Individual components are unstructured and quirky, but somehow – eveything cohesively falls in place to create a stunning work of art.

  1. Totally, I was mesmerised by the many details Gaudi incorporated into the design of the building. It is probably my favourite architectural work I have ever seen before!
